Today with Dr. Ashurst

Hello Everyone! Sorry it has been so long since our last blog, things have been sort of busy with all the preparations for Evan's arrival. We have had several showers already and will have our last one this coming Saturday. I plan to post pictures from all of them (and vacation) next week.

I went to see Dr. Ashurst this morning and things seem to be right on schedule. I had a rough night last night with uncomfortable pains and some Braxton Hicks contractions. He said all that I am experiencing is completely normal and nothing that should concern us. He also told me that in just 9 days I will be what he considers "complete, full term" and so at any time after that he would be ok inducing labor. I told him that I would like to go as close to his due date as possible and his response was "You just let me know when it is too unbearable!!" He did an exam and said that there is no dilation, just thinning, but that Evan has moved down-he could feel his head.

So, with all of that said, we are scheduled to see him again next Tuesday. We are down to those weekly visits! Evan will be here before we know it! I guess I had better get our bags packed!! Please let me know if you would like to be included on the "call list" - make sure I have your number!!

Prayer requests: please pray that Evan will continue to grow and develop as he should for his remaining baking time, that I would remain seizure free and that the labor process will be as stress less for Evan as possible. You can also include that the labor be as quick as possible (once we are at the hospital!!! hehe). Don't forget to remember Pete, his world is about to be turned up-side-down as well. Please pray that it will be a smooth transition for our pup.

~Love to you all~

I will keep you all (yes including Pete) in my prayers for a short and happy labor!! Soon he will keep you awake in a different and much happier way! There is nothing like looking down at him even at 3 am and still thinking how amazing it all is!

We will continue to pray for Evan's healthy (and hopefully fast!) arrival!! You had better get your bag ready!! Analyce was 5 wks early, and I had NOTHING going into the hospital!! NOT fun!! Hope everything continues to go as planned!! :o)

It is great to know things are going good with your pregnancy! Wish my doctor would have told me to let him know when I wanted to induce!! You will have to post pictures when he gets here!!! And it seems like a blink of an eye and Blair is in her 2nd year of school!!! Time sure has flown by, and will only go more faster with a little one!!! Good Luck again!
