Snow Days and Random Pics

It snowed and we had a blast. Evan was not so sure of it at first, but then once it was
time to go in he pitched a fit-both days! He was so bundled up, it was hard for him to get
around. We had a lot of fun building our snowman, even if we couldn't make it very large.
Enjoy the memories!!

He had fallen and couldn't get up and instead of being a good mommy and helping,
I took a picture! :)

All bundled up! Notice the boggin' is none other than Spongebob!

He was mad because we wanted a picture and he wanted to get down and play!

Just my little man and me. One of my favs of us together.

It's a bird, It's a plane....NO! It's SUPER-EVAN!
Sorry it is not right side up...

I had always heard people talk about their children falling asleep while eating...
It was a PJ day around the house and I was busy putting away dishes while he was having lunch,
I thought it was too quiet, so I turned and found Evan like this....
I guess we had played extra hard that morning. Too cute!

Screaming because he can't get his feet to go where he wants them to go.
Wonder Why???
Those are some mighty big shoes to fill, Little Man!

Evan attempted to put his boots on all by himself.
He must wear these shoes with shorts, with jeans, or with just his diaper!Align Center
I have a country boy at heart!

Smile and Say CHEEZE!! Evan LOVES his Aunt Pam!!

One day while playing in his room, it got really quiet (for those who don't know, that means trouble!!) so I popped my head in to see what was going on and I found Evan perched on top of the twin bed in his room. At this point we did not know that Evan could climb that high, so please imagine my surprise. I did run and grab the camera for a pic before I told him to get down and explained that this was not a play space. Think it did any good? Nope! It is still one of his most favorite places to climb and look at books!!

Don't know what was going on here. I do know we were watching Alabama play for the
National Championship! Roll Tide!

Going to watch the Tide Roll!

Mrs. Kristi and Wade gave Evan this cow for his 1st birthday. He lovingly refers to him as "Moo-Moo." Evan sleeps with Moo-Moo each and every night!

Showing Nana he can eat with a spoon

Christmas for the 4 of Us

We waited and had "Santa" Christmas at our house late Christmas Day. Really and truly, Evan did not know the difference. We had a great time. It was so much fun to watch Evan this year. He found a lot more excitement in watching everyone else get so excited over what they got.
He is a hoot! Hope you enjoy the pictures!

Christmas with the Families and Other Winter Pics

Christmas 2009
We had a lot of fun and did some things a little nontraditional.
We had Christmas with the Talleys before Christmas,
We spent Christmas Eve night at my parents and did Christmas with them
Christmas morning, then traveled home to have Christmas with just the 4 of us.
We had a great time and made a lot of new memories.
Along with the laughter and fun came some sorrow as this was our first Christmas without Granny. Man did she know how to have a good time. She may be gone, but she will NEVER be forgotten. Love to you!!

Merry Christmas from the Talleys!

Evan really enjoyed his drums from the Wallaces.
They have somehow managed to stay at Nana's but
oh does he LOVE to bang on them when we visit!!

Apparently something was REALLY funny to Evan! :)

Play time with Daddy!

He loved his goodies in his stocking. This reindeer is still in his room!

Christmas morning at Nana and Big Daddy's

There is a first time for everything! The lights went out during our Christmas Eve
celebration at mama and daddy's house with the LeVert clan. We went one by
one and opened presents by candlelight. It was different to say the least! Ah, memories!!

(Below) We were trying to get a good shot for our Christmas pictures. This was one of the cutest ones of Evan and Pete together. They are sweet together!

Evan was checking out the ducks on the pond behind our house. He loves to be outside.

Here he is just hanging out and being silly.

Go ahead and say it...AAAWWW!
Thats what I said when I took it. One of my favs of my two boys!

Out and About

Saturday, we took Evan to the park. We had lunch and then we played for a while. It was so much fun. He LOVES to be outside (gets that from his daddy)!! He did not want to leave and fussed at us...ok, screamed at us as we took him back to the car. As soon as we got home, he conked out. He had played so hard. I can't wait for some warmer weather so we can make the park a weekly outing. Enjoy the pictures!
He thinks he is so big...
Loving the outdoors!
Look Mama! No Hands!!

Eating lunch (no real picnic food, we stopped by Hardees)

The little man who makes my heart melt...
It seems so hard to believe that Evan is already 18 months old. Time sure goes by quickly. Evan is learning more and more each and every day. He is now able to recognize people and call them by their chosen names (mommy, daddy, big daddy, nana, nanny, mimi and papa). He loves balls and his "big brother" Pete. He loves to eat his veggies, but is not so keen on meat. I guess I should be thankful. He is into everything and running to get everywhere. He loves to climb. He enjoys reading with me and watching Spongebob with his daddy. His smile lights up a room and his kisses melt my heart. His favorite word is "NO!" Thanks to Aunt Pam and Maci!
He has a gentle spirit, a love for others and a cute sense of humor. He makes me smile when he makes faces like his daddy and he tickles my heart when he sings "bye oh baby" with Nanny (this is a song she made up and has shared with all of the grands). He is a true joy!
It is my prayer that he will always know how much he is loved and that God has great plans for His life. I pray that He will always follow Christ and stand firm in his faith in Him. I never knew being a mom would be so great....maybe it is the baby boy I hold in my arms that makes it oh so special!!

Evan's One Year Photos

Finally! We are back in business! Now, I should be able to catch everyone up with what all has been going on with us! These are some of the pictures from Evan's one year photo shoot. We actually did one-where he would not smile like he usually does, so our wonderful photographer met us earlier this month and took some additional shots. He did great that day. Of course, it was 30 degrees and I had him dressed in linen...oh, well! He didn't get sick and the pictures turned out great.
Evan is bringing more and more joy to our lives each and every day. I am not working right now, so I am enjoying being home with him. It has been so much fun watching his milestones develop. His little personality has really bloomed! He is such a ham. He loves to give hugs and kisses, which makes me a very happy mommy! His smile makes me melt and he knows it. Not only does he know it, he uses it!! He has learned early! haha
he was getting a little sleepy on us...

More fun things to come...please check back soon!
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!

Beach Pictures

Here are a few pictures from our family vacation this past July. It is taking forever just to upload one picture, so it may take me several days (weeks) to catch up. Please keep checking the blog for updates.
We had such a good time at the beach. Evan loved the sand...I think I got my wish for a beach baby! I am so excited for the summers to come as we return to make more memories with our little man. Enjoy the pics!

Don't know what the trouble is...

I have tried and tried to update the blog, but have had so much trouble. As soon as I can, I will post pictures of all that has been happening. Evan had his 1st birthday back in August and what fun we had. He is walking and in to everything. He is a climber, so I have to watch him at all times! He is learning more words and you can tell he is really paying attention to what we say and the tone we are using...which is kinda scary!! :) He is learning so much and his personality is precious!! I can't wait to get some pictures up so you all can see how much he has changed over the past several months.

James and I are doing well. Staying busy. More to come! We love you all! Please keep checking back, I will keep trying to post!

Long Time, No Post

Sorry for the long time between posts, things have been busy around the Talley house! For some reason our computer has been weird tonight, so I will try to post again tomorrow night and catch everyone up. This picture is from Evan's Baby Dedication. We had such a great time with family and friends. More details to come. Also, check back for Evan's 1st beach trip pictures! We had a great time, Evan LOVED the beach! It is so hard to believe that our little man will be one in just a couple of weeks. Planning is in full swing.
