Yard Progress

Quick story...
Last night, Evan and I were outside watching James "smoosh" the rocks into place by walking on them. When he finished, Evan was itching to get down. He loves to walk with you holding his hands, so of course that was what he was wanting. As soon as I put him down, he headed right for the flower beds. He stepped over the pavers and into the rocks. He was so funny picking his feet up and down "smooshing" the rocks like his daddy. It makes you really think about them watching everything we do and wanting to be a lot like us. My prayer is that he will see his daddy and me loving and serving Jesus every day.
It is so funny to see how things can really transform with a lot of hard work (mostly thanks to James!!). Here is a picture of our house the December after we moved in...
And this was taken last night. What a difference a new tree, new plants and shrubs and some rocks can do! It looks a lot better from the curb now!!My annuals that I am so proud of...they are not dead yet!! haha

Our tree in the front yard. I thought it was supposed to have blooms...
still no sign of flowers yet!

Gotta add a few more rocks...
Our beautiful Japanese Red Maple
This tree was little when we got it. I love to watch the leaves change colors.

James did such a good job on this walkway. I think it turned out beautiful!
Now, on to the back yard!!!
